This rig brings together the Orvis Helios D 9wt fly rod with custom albie-themed cork grips by artist Tim Johnson. A Hatch 9+ Iconic reel, custom handle kit, and Scientific Angler line round out a setup tuned for long, accurate casts at fast-moving false albacore. It includes albie blue 20-pound backing and four spools of fluorocarbon tippet to stay ready when the fish get picky. Each package also includes a certificate for a complimentary grip reburn from the artist. Only four of these complete setups were made.

Why We Like It

This kit is tuned for chasing hardtails from the boat or the beach with gear built for distance and control. The custom artwork and matching components make it special, but it is still meant to be fished hard. The included reburn certificate keeps the cork looking sharp after a season of use.
