Wading saltwater flats can be a rugged job, and a supportive pair of flats wading boots is critical to keeping your attention on the fish!
If you plan to wade a lot, we'd suggest the Flats Sneaker and some wet wading socks. If you only plan a few hours on the flats, then the zip-up boots are lighter and more convenient; but lacking in support.
In any event, it's a good idea to wear your flats boots around the house to break them in before you get on the water. One blister can be a bummer!
While you are at it take your fly rod to the park and practice accuracy at 40 feet. No need for hero casts. It's a short but accurate game! Tight lines!!
