                              Mono leader material is a great choice for situations where the fish aren't going to be "line shy". It's inexpensive and generally easier to tie knots with then fluorocarbon.

                              If you mainly fish at night there's obviously no harm in using fluorocarbon, but you could easily save a few bucks and just go with monofilament.
