A good pair of fishing pliers are almost a necessity for fishermen. Whether it's safely removing hooks, cutting braid, or doing some rigging having a pair on your belt will make handling these tasks much easier and safer.
The best fishing pliers will have replaceable cutters as steady use will wear them down until cleanly cutting braid becomes difficult. They should also be at least saltwater resistant. If your pliers don't come with a lanyard, be sure to get one so they don't make an unplanned getaway at the worst possible time.
