The larger sizes are started with a nylon thread, glued and then once that process has cured, they are then finished with the final layers followed by epoxy. All of Jeck's Bucktails are tied with prime hair, and where applicable, genuine Whiting Farms hackle.
Sizes .5oz-1oz use a 7/0 Mustad hook.
Sizes 1.25oz-4oz use an 8/0 Mustad hook.
Sizes 5oz and above use a 9/0 Mustad hook.
