30-ton HALO carbon. Nano-carbon scrim. Performance-tuned inshore action.
The Tsunami SaltX II Inshore series is built on Tsunami's proprietary 30-ton tensile HALO Carbon Fiber with 100% nano-carbon scrim in tip-to-butt construction — the combination produces a blank that's lighter and slimmer than typical inshore rods at this price, with no sacrifice in hooksetting or lifting power. The performance-tuned action loads easily on shorter casts but unloads with the energy to push a plug well out into the rip. Fuji Titanium K-Frame guides with Slim SiC rings keep braid running cleanly and reduce wind-knot risk dramatically. Six models cover everything from Medium 7'2" finesse work to Heavy 7'7" plug-and-eel duty.

Tsunami's HALO carbon technology is the real deal — the blanks feel like rods costing $400-$500 at this $250-$300 price point. The 30-ton modulus pushes the performance envelope, and the Fuji Titanium guides are a real upgrade over the steel guides most rods come with at this tier. The 721MH is the rod we steer most Northeast inshore anglers toward when they want one rod for everything from fluke to plug-fishing stripers.
