United StatesThis is one of my favorite inshore rods because of its ability to handle Stripers, Albies and Bonito without compromising its weight. Paired with a Shimano Stradic FL Spinning in a 4000 or 5000 makes for an unbeatable inshore rod that is perfect for casting unweighted soft plastics.
United StatesVery light but powerful. While I did not purchase this for shark fishing, it performed incredibly well for a hard 15 minute fight with an 80lb+ bull. Excellent for inshore fishing for larger species and had just as much fun with it fishing for snook around Cayo Costa/Boca Grande.
I own this rod in the eight-foot model, and it is the top rod in my entire quiver for inshore fishing. It s light, balanced, and features a flexible tip that really hurls metals and jigs a country mile. Yet I had no problem quickly landing large schoolies and angry blues this past spring. I ve teamed it up with a Shimano Stradic 5000 for a perfect setup. Given the quality of the blank and the componets, this rod is an outstanding value. If you re looking for an inshore stick that does it all, give this one a good, long look!
Love my Loomis rod from saltwater edge. Very knowledgeable staff. Original rod was back ordered, when I called to get delivery date the recommended a different rod. I absolutely love the rod they sent. I will not hesitate to make my future purchases with Saltwater Edge!!!
