First of all I’d like to thank all the Sponsors for their generous contribution to an extraordinarly important environmental issue! They’re so many honest and conscientious angelers out there that it’s very sad to see that the poachers and law breakers ruining it for the rest of us! We need to come down on them like a ton of bricks! Take away their fishing rights for years, make the fines even higher and confiscate their fishing equipment equipment!

I support these changes. Tougher laws and penalties for offenders would be better.

Hello Pete and the saltwater edge and the saltwater guide association. thanks for putting together the guides post podcast that makes this issue digestible for us newbies and encouraging us to get involved . I just sat in om the MA meeting I was encouraged that most that spoke did so in the name of conservation. I’m working on my written comments now I hope my run on sentences and jibber jabber make sense.
Thanks and keep putting the pressure on.

Almost always people will follow the rules. Unfortunately for most of us a few will ruin it for all. For those people we need stricter enforcement with hefty fines and possible jail time. To accomplish this we definitely need more personal added to the Environmental Police forces. The areas each officer is responsible for is far too great. More personal means better coverage which means less people breaking the laws. This is the ONLY way any new rules, laws or amendments will have an affect.

Stripe Bass is definitely of public health importance, besides all the businesses that benefit by fishing(stores, charters, marinas, state recreational facilities, hotels plus much more), especially now with covid and people feeling depressed, etc. Many people look forward to fishing the planning, anticipation, preparation aids with the mental health of society. I believe it would be a great disservice not to improve and preserve our fisheries.

I think we need stronger laws on the people who take under sized fish and those who exceed the limit. If your a commercial fisherman breaking these laws should lose their license not only locally but federally.
