Captain Christian Awe
In the Beginning
“Fishing has been a lifelong passion of mine. Growing up catching striped bass in Block Island Sound as a child I found something that made me truly happy. All these years later, fishing is still the part of my life that makes me most happy. I have now fished and guided across North America from Rhode Island to Alaska. I am constantly looking for that new piece of water to explore and learn, it is a never ending hunt for that feeling of being connected to a wild animal.
I began guiding on the Big Horn River in Fort Smith, Montana where I learned to run a drift boat and fell in love with big western rivers. Before long though I was back on the East Coast to guide for Steelhead Trout in Western, NY. Cutting my teeth in such amazing fisheries eventually lead me to the mecca of Southwest Alaska. I lived in a tent and ran a jetboat on the famed Kanektok River for some of the best Salmon and Leopard Rainbow Trout fishing in the world. I eventually returned back to Rhode Island, earned my USCG Merchant Mariner Captains License, and dove directly back into the salt.
While I look forward to returning to the unrivaled wilderness and purity of Alaskan rivers, my real passion has been, and always will be, fishing the saltwater for Striped Bass, False Albacore, and Bluefin Tuna.

With degrees in Environmental Science and Political Science from Gettysburg College, I approach every fishery with respect and conservation first and foremost. I do my best to pass that perspective on to all of my clients and friends just as I do all of the knowledge I have accumulated over the years.”
