Tsunami Airwave Elite Surf Rods are a high performance rod at a bargain price.
A unique, high-pressure production technique creates a strong powerful high-fiber density blanks with no excess weight. The resulting Tsunami Airwave Elite is a stronger, more powerful, lighter weight, high performance rod. The surf models utilize braid friendly guides and textured vinyl grips
The high-fiber density blanks provide extreme sensitivity and more resilience to transmit more power to each cast. That means more distance and accuracy with less effort. Once the hook is set, the reserve power in each blank helps with fish fighting.

First of all great service from Saltwater edge. Everyone is very good in the store. 8'8" airwave elite is a great rod. It is stiffer than I wanted but still a great rod. Good for plugs. If you throw sloggos in water it is a bit too stiff. Does not have that parabolic feel. In same size variation if you look more flexibility and want to stay wiyh lightweight design I would try Lamiglass carbon 9", lightweight rod. 50 bucks more only. That is my next buy I guess.
Great value jetty rod for West Coast Ling and Rockfish. Great for Pacific Mexico from the rocks rod for Cubera, Jack Crevalle and Roosters - when they aren't in huge surf. Long enough w goof lifting power to be good for jetty - but short enough to "work" lures more precisely than a longer rod. The only downside is it is too stiff to throw 1/4 and 1/2 ounce lures on the flats - but that is really too much to ask of any rod.
I am very happy with this rod. It is exactly what I was looking. Solid casting and taken about a dozen bass so far and its working great. Thanks
Have only used it a couple times, but like the sensitivity and overall feel of this rod. Great rod at this price point.
