Designed for lighter surf casting, the Tsunami Airwave Elite Light Surf Rods fit many of the aspects anglers demanded for the light bucktails, tins and other lures we often use from the beaches and back bays. This rod suits itself well for the diehard albie/bonito fisherman, as well as the surf fluke, weakfish and schoolie surfcaster who want a lightweight rod to use all day. Each rod in the Airwave Elite LT series utilizes premium Fuji K series guides with SIC rings, shrink vinyl grips, and a two piece 70/30 split.

This review is for the 8' 802LT which I paired with a Shimano Stradic 4000. This is an outstanding light surf rod. Got it for Albies from shore and it feels perfect for the application. The moderate action helps the rod cast jut about everything including plastics and not aerodynamic lures effortlessly and very far with lighter braid. Plenty of backbone for schoolies up to low slot fish thus far, no albies yet, but I bet it would work great. This feels like a lot of rod for the money.
