The Boogie Minnow is a fantastic all purpose saltwater fly that excels in New England (and elsewhere) throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Originally tied for fall fishing in salt ponds and rivers when the peanut bunker are plentiful, it has proved very productive in just about every other situation. It may not mimic one thing perfectly, however it does resemble most kinds of baitfish including bunker, mullet, small scup, small herring, butterfish and many other favorite meals of predatory gamefish. An abundance of different materials layered onto a stout hook allow for plenty of natural movement and a dependable hook set. No matter how or where you fish this fly it will almost certainly produce.
