Super Strike's Little Neck Popper is a classic - perfectly weighted for castability, with an extremely slow sink so you can retrieve it at a very slow crawl perfect for attracting big stripers and other species. Comes with VMC 9626PS hooks and heavy-duty split rings so you're ready for the aggressive, tough fish these lures are likely to catch.
Super Strike also makes them in a Floating version for even slower retrieve rates as well as a "Heavy" for even more casting distance.

The sinking version will swim like a metal lip when crawled making it the most versatile popper in the bag. Casts like a bullet. Small floating version is a killer in schoolies in calmer water.
Good color. Casts very far. Throws ample water when popping, sinks a bit if you want to work under the surface. Have caught larger schoolies but thinking over 28 with it yet. I will be getting a back up of this lure for my bag.
Just seeing these on the wall at a tackle store I wasn't impressed. But multiple favorable descriptions by respected sources led me to try out the 2 3/8 oz black eye model in bone. Got a fish my first time using it, and discovered that the described near surface swimming action is excellent, especially on that weight. Subsequently picked up the smaller 1.5 oz version. It also has an excellent gentle swimming action, although not as pronounced as on the 2 3/8 ths model. Oddly enough it also seems to shed weeds better than other topwater lures. I've been able to fish it successfully in waters where spooks and other poppers picked up a lot more ****. Odd. It seems to pick more up at the front hook swivel than the line eyelet. I'm guessing the same hydraulic mechanics that lead to the swimming motion push junk away from the front of the lure. Pretty much speculation there - but whatever the reason, its a bonus for this lure.
love the consistency and reliability of super strike products. can't go wrong with them and have never been let down by them. their little neck poppers are a staple to have in any surf bag.
