Shimano TwinPower SW (2021)
For the nearshore and offshore angler, the Shimano TwinPower SW brings a new dog to the fight to prevail over true saltwater gamefish such as tuna, striped bass, mahi mahi, grouper and more.
Over its predecessor, this 2021 TwinPower SW takes in new technologies such as Infinity Drive and Heatsink Drag that are trickled down from the Stella SW C reel. Infinity Drive optimizes the way load & torque is applied to the reel when fighting a fish and even retrieving a lure or bait. It essentially is the driving technology of keeping the retrieve feeling light and crisp, giving the angler more focus to on fighting the fish and not the gear. Heatsink Drag (only seen in 10000 & 14000 models) dissipates the heat given off from the spool itself which is often seen when fighting pelagics. Heat can cause issues with braided line as well as the drag, which are two key elements in any battle with pelagics to get them in the boat.

Hagane Gearing: A cold foraged gear set for the heart of reel, assisting with gear durability, longevity, strength, and smoothness.

Micro Module II Gearing: The most advanced gear technology Shimano has done to date. Its Shimano's pursuit at the ideal shape of each gear tooth, which ultimately provides for less gear noise and improves smoothness.

Infinity Drive: A design where the pinion gear inner does not make contact with the main shaft, as a high-sliding bushing supports the main shaft. With this new structure, the sliding resistance of the main shaft is drastically reduced.
