Upgraded with the latest and greatest technology that Shimano has to offer, the Trevala PX Jigging Rods takes on a new form that is a lighter, sleeker, and more powerful form that is an absolute pleasure to fish. The Trevala was built originally to take on the revolutionary Butterfly Jigging system that came to the United States years ago, however, it is widely used by other vertical jigging methods and bottom fisherman, whether you are dropping bucktails or baited jigheads. Shimano's Hi-Power X technology was added in the Trevala PX, giving its reinforcement and strength, but also its twist resistance under a load of a fish or jig/lure. Hi-Power X assists with the resistance of rod ovalization under load, helping to keep the blank in a more traditional circular form, which oftentimes will result in power loss. An improved Fuji or Shimano CI4+ reel seat is equipped on the Trevala PX, as well as SeaGuide XQG or XOG Guides for durability when fishing braided line. The Trevala PX is a great option for the nearshore/offshore fisherman, ideal when the bite can be spontaneous at times with different presentations or methods.
