Shimano's Hi-Power X technology was added in the Trevala PX, giving its reinforcement and strength, but also its twist resistance under a load of a fish or jig/lure. Hi-Power X assists with the resistance of rod ovalization under load, helping to keep the blank in a more traditional circular form, which oftentimes will result in power loss. An improved Fuji or Shimano CI4+ reel seat is equipped on the Trevala PX, as well as SeaGuide XQG or XOG Guides for durability when fishing braided line.
