Built for both freshwater and saltwater anglers alike, the Tekota line from Shimano is well known for its strength and durability. The Tekota A added many new technologies and improvements, such as Coreprotect water resistance, an easy to replace anti-fogging lens for line countermodels, a louder clicker, and a new S-Compact body design, making it easier to handle the reel. The Tekota is truly a troller's dream, whether it be downriggers, planner boards, lead core, or wirelines, but it can also provide for a great bottom fishing reel as well for those who want a level wind system.

This reel is perfect for trolling umbrella rigs with wire. You can use lead core or braid but monel is my go to. The linecounter allows me a consistent reference of how much line is out. 35 lB of drag will allow you to winch the fish in! Get yours and reduce your excuse of why the big one got awat!
