Shimano's SP-Orca Baby is another expansion to Shimano's Orca family. Coming in at 90mm, the SP-Orca Baby features a heavy center weight designed for long distance casting as well as a sinking horizontal fall. Similar to the rest of the Orca family, this lure was primarily designed for tuna. It provides a more finesse approach compared to the rest of the Orca Family which is key for when tuna are feeding on small bait fish. While it was designed more for tuna, the SP-Baby Orca also makes a phenomenal shallow water black seabass and striper jig. It has a slower sink rate than solid metal jigs which allows for a slower presentation to fish that might not be as reactive on some days.
