One tool to do it all, the Shimano Power Pliers are feature-packed for time on the water, whether you need a line cutter, sleeve crimper, lure eye tuner, or obviously a split ring opener. These pliers are fluorine-coated to protect from corrosion and rust and are spring opened to make ease of one-handed operation. A finger lock keeps the pliers closed and accessible.

Best split ring pliers I've owned..
I tried these pliers in the larger 7" size because I'm changing out hooks on some bigger plugs and the small pliers I have wouldn't open the #5 split ring enough to get a bigger hook onto it. After a lot of cussing and frustration I called SWE and Christian suggested I try these. They work perfectly! I had no trouble easily opening #8 & #9 Owner split rings, so I'm very happy I now have the right tool for the job. Do yourself a favor and stop struggling with pliers that are too small for the job and get a larger pair for you bigger split rings!
