Penn's newest iteration of their Spinfisher Spinning Reel is nothing but impressive. Fully sealed with an IPX5 rating, this reel is designed for the saltwater environment. The bailess design provides for quick casting and retrieves. It also adds fewer parts do break when fishing from rocky shoreline and diminishes the chances of watching your lure fly into the sunset from the bail unintentionally tripping.
Additionally equipped with a 5+1 stainless steel ball bearing system, HT-100 carbon fiber drag washers and CNC gears with plenty of stopping power the Spinfisher VI loves to deal with big saltwater gamefish.
The Penn Spinfisher VI Spinning Reel's full metal body and impressive attention to detail can let you fish hard in the salt without worrying about your reel.

I generally fish Shimano reels, but prefer bailess for the surf. It has been years since I’ve fished a Penn, but so far I’m liking this reel very much. Easy to use, smooth action, and I’ve already caught a bunch of stripers with it. If it holds up over the long term, I’ll definitely be getting another Penn.
Only one complaint! This reel is to heavy almost 22oz! Otherwise no other complaint! Satisfied with everything with the reel! I matched with the John skinner 9ft rod. Would I buy another NO
