Hand-built spook. Wide side-to-side action. The dawn-patrol plug.
The Lemire's Plugworks Wave Jammer is a hand-built wooden spook-style plug that walks the surface with the kind of slow, wide side-to-side action that pulls big stripers off the bottom in low light. Bigger and heavier than the standard wooden spook, the Wave Jammer casts well even on a windy morning, and the slow rhythm matches up perfectly with how big bass actually feed on the surface — not a frantic chase, but a deliberate ambush. Five colors covering natural bait and proven low-light patterns. Each plug is hand-poured and hand-painted, so no two are exactly the same.
| Style | Spook / walk-the-dog topwater |
| Build | Hand-poured wood, hand-painted |
| Colors | White, Yellow/White, Herring, Pogy, Squid |
| Best For | Striped bass at dawn, dusk, and night |
| Built By | Lemire's Plugworks |
Hand-poured wood plugs catch fish that production plastic plugs don't. The Wave Jammer specifically has the slow, deliberate cadence that big striped bass key on — it doesn't act like a panicked baitfish, it acts like a baitfish that's too dumb to know it's being watched. That's the trigger that pulls the biggest fish out of the depths. Lemire's is one of the few hand-pour builders still making plugs we can stock consistently. Worth the price tag for anyone serious about night surf or low-light striper fishing.
