This slow sink needlefish is 8" and 2oz. They quickly became a staple on Block Island and surrounding areas and have landed many a bigfish. They have a slow to moderate sink rate with the tail downward. Retrieving the plug slowly will glide right under the surface, while twitching the rod tip every 5 or 10 seconds, or let it drop to the bottom and twitch the rod to imitate a sand eel hatching. They also can be used on the surface like a pencil popper.
