The Hogy Original is where the whole Hogy system started — a tapered, unstructured, unweighted soft bait that's still hand-poured from a softer, more flexible plastic than anything that comes out of an injection mold. This is the 14" version, pre-rigged on a tandem set of VMC 4X live bait hooks so the two hook points are spread across the length of the bait. That matters on a bait this long: big stripers short-strike a 14" eel constantly, and the trailing hook is what turns those swipes into hookups.

Weightless, it glides and skips like an injured baitfish. On the fall it has an ultra-natural, unhurried movement you don't get from harder plastics. The action is on you — twitchy and erratic, slow and hovering, skipped across the surface, or dead-drifted in current.
