UV Polar Chenille is one of the most useful synthetics on a saltwater bench. Long, translucent fibers are locked into a twisted core, so a few wraps behind the eye give you a full, water-pushing head that still collapses to a slim profile when it's wet. Palmered up a shank it builds a baitfish body in seconds.

The UV treatment adds ultraviolet reflectance on top of the natural translucence — the difference shows up most in dirty water, at first and last light, and under the lights on a night tide.

Standard is the everyday size for sand eels, peanut bunker, and albie flies. Medium has a longer fiber for bigger bodies, tapered heads, and flatwing collars.
