The GCX Inshore features premium Fuji reel seats, an optimized SeaGuide guide train and premium cork handles. G. Loomis uses its Multi-Taper technology in the GCX, giving what is known as "micro-tapers" that run throughout the blank. More material is used in certain key areas to provide extra strength for potential breakpoints and less material in non-essential areas. This unique process is done with a custom rolling table and is proprietary to G. Loomis. A beefed-up resin system also aids in its impact resistance, delivering a workhorse option for everyday use.

United StatesIs this an expensive rod? Yes Is this rod an absolute blast to use? Again, yes. Rod is very true to its power and action ratings. 902S XF This rod throws light lures on the flats very well. It’s lightweight, extremely sensitive, and has that Loomis action when under a load. The 2 power is a bit stiffer than freshwater rods from Loomis but it is meant to be because it’s intended to use inshore for bigger, harder fighting fish. You can catch trout on this rod, you can also handle 40 inch snook and bull reds. Just not around structure unless you have the 3 or 4 power. United StatesBeen a great rod for false albacore. It is light and has plenty backing to fight the toughest fish. Sensitive and easy to make long casts.
