The new Squall Pliers from Dr. Slick fill a gap that was created when the super popular Hansom pliers were discontinued. In fact, they represent an upgrade in that they have a side cutter that is inherently more powerful and also more precise. The cutters are designed with HR 70+ anvil tungsten carbide and can handle any monofilament and excel at cutting the braid, other synthetics andwire up to 60lbs.
Jaws are made from heat treated SUS420 J2 coated stainless steel with a HR of 52. Frame is made from 6061-T6 anodized aluminum to withstand salt water, and is equipped with non-slip rubber grips and a self-opening spring.
The clasp on the back should fit up to a 2" wading belt.
These are an excellent choice for the saltwater angler looking for the best bang for the buck.

Love em. One thought they come in a short ans long jaws version. Go with the long I got the short and I was not able to get to deeper hooked fish. Great pliers overall.
