Giving anglers a true 300 size low-profile baitcaster, the Daiwa Tatula 300 Casting Reels are built to perform with big baits in mind. This reel features many of the same features as the smaller Tatula's, just built with greater capacity and even bigger, stronger gears to handle the big baits and fish that crush big baits.
Daiwa implemented their well-known T-Wing System level-wind, which deploys every cast to open the line feed, providing reduced resistance for the line to come off the reel. This gives even further casting distance, more accurately, and reduced stress when chucking big baits into the wind. Daiwa also implemented their Magforce magnetic casting system on the exterior of the reel, making for quick and easy adjustments on the fly for changing baits or conditions while on the water.
With multiple gear ratios for both the right or left-hand retrieve angler, the Tatula 300 gives anglers a greater option to fish how they want for their intended techniques and fishing styles. The reels aluminum frame and enhanced gears give this reel the power needed to throw big baits and tame the next beast for your next trip on the water!

I got this reel to use for deep water crank baits and large swim baits in a fresh water lake (Lake Cumberland) for large mouth bass. I paired it with a Lews Fritts Crank rod, 7’11” with 20lb fluorocarbon. The reel is amazing smooth and handles the deep crank baits with ease. Much less effort than my old BB1 or Curado. The drag is strong and I keep it just less than 3/4 of max. The handle is comfortable, but perhaps slightly on the small side. I have both this reel and the Lews Super Duty 300 and for my personal preference I like the Tatula. Very quality made reel. I would definitely recommend this reel.
