Daiwa Lexa TWS Baitcasting Reel

Choose a Model

The Daiwa Lexa TWS Baitcasting Reel continues the lineage of the Lexa series in an all-new form.  Coming for the first time ever in the Lexa line, the TWS (T-Wing System) was added to this reel, giving the angler added capabilities on the water on a reel that has proven itself both here in the U.S. as well as overseas.

The TWS system works to strike the balance in the level wind system, deploying to a larger aperture for the cast and a smaller aperture for the retrieve.  Every time the clutch is engaged, the T-Wing system deploys and upon the retrieve, the system disengages.  The larger aperture of the T-Wing system when deployed on the cast gives off less line friction, aiding in casting distance while the smaller aperture on the retireve pack's line on more evenly and tighter.  These two work hand and hand, giving benefits to the angler for longer casting distance so more water can be covered.

A heavy-duty aluminum frame and side plate sit at the exterior of the reel, giving precise alignment for the internals of the reel, reducing any strain on the gears themselves while also giving the angler greater power and smoothness whether they are retrieving a bait or winching on a pelagic or bottom fish.  A stainless steel pinion gear, brass main gear, and CRBB ball bearings give this reel its effortless retrieves, perfectly meshing together while providing the toughness and longevity anglers can expect from Daiwa.

Anglers who have fished with the Lexa series before will find the new TWS to be 17% more compact and 30% lighter than ever before.  Its more compact and lighter form gives the angler a more palmable reel which suits itself to be more controllable and be more pleasant to fish with all day whether they are bottom fishing or casting.
