The Daiwa BG MQ Spinning Reels take many of the beloved features of the Daiwa BG and load it with some of the new technologies Daiwa has to offer for 2020.
Just like the BG, Daiwa's precision-cut DigiGears were incorporated to give it that unreal power and durability from the smallest 2500 size to the biggest 20000 size. The Monocoque (One Piece) Aluminium body design also reduces the number of screws and pins needed to assemble this reel, which reduces entry ports for water and debris from entering the reel.
Throughout the reel,9 internal rubber seals were placed at key areas like the drag stack, spool shaft, handle, and side plate to keep this reel turning just like out of the box whether you are fishing from the surf, boat, kayak, etc.
Available in 10 sizes, the BG MQ has every angler covered from a smooth, lightweight 2500 for inshore and freshwater, to an 18000 and 20000 capable of defeating bluefin and yellowfin.

Light, affordable & strong. The drag did its thing in the canal. I did very well a few weeks ago there and the 14000 size gave me the confidence I needed. Line pick is fantastic as well. Excellent for jigging in the canal when there are hundreds of people to the left and right of you. Ha!
This has become my new favorite reel. Smooth, powerful drag, light/tough body. I use it in the surf and have already caught bluefish and striped bass. Looking for many years of trouble free use! I bought the 6000 size and it holds about 300 yards of 30lb braid.
Very affordable price, the reel runs very smooth and has long casting compared to previous daiwa bg because of new redesigned spool edge. It is very perfect fishing reel in term of price
Amazing reel for the price and size, I got the 4000 a few days back and only used it a few times but it feels amazing. The line lay is perfectly straight and orderly but the only critique I have is that it doesn't really pack the line in that tightly, you can kinda squish the braid afterwards.
