If getting thinner is one of you New Year's resolutions, look no further than Berkeley X9 braid.
Used by us in the shop for just about everything, this 8-strand braid is just about the thinnest braid on the Market, and flows quietly through any fishing guides making a stealthy cast easy.
Berkley's X9 Braided Line is smooth, quiet, strong, and thin by utilizing an additional 9th strand to create a 9-strand super line.

Great braided line, smooth great casting.
Cast great and quiet through the guides
I have been using this line for 3 years. I really like how supple and thin it is. In addition for better casting due to less friction on the guides, it is also very quiet as opposed to power pro. PP is another great line, But I prefer to hear my drag running instead of the line creaking through the guides. After 3 years I wont use anything else. I fish alot, 250 to 300hrs a year from boat and about 100 from the surf.so I do change my line on all my reels twice a year, spring and before the fall run.
After trying several other braided lines X9 has become my go to line. The 9 strands makes it silent but also is relatively thin in comparable pound test strengths from other brands. Wind knots are also non existent when line is managed properly.
