Surflon® nylon coated 1x7 stainless steel leader wire from American Fishing Wire. Seven-strand stainless cable with a smooth nylon coating that seals out water, reduces visibility and extends the life of the wire — the standard choice for building bite-proof leaders for bluefish, barracuda, king mackerel and other toothy gamefish.
The coating lets Surflon be crimped with sleeves or tied directly, and the 1x7 construction stays far more supple than single strand wire, so leaders hang naturally behind a plug or bait. Supplied on a 30 ft spool in black.
