Q: Where is The Saltwater Edge located?
A: We are based in Middletown, Rhode Island, just minutes from Newport. Anglers can shop in-store or online at SaltwaterEdge.com
Q: Do you ship outside of Rhode Island?
A: Yes! We ship across the United States and internationally. All orders ship from Rhode Island, and we work hard to get your gear to you quickly.
Q: How long does shipping take?
A: Standard shipping in the U.S. typically takes 2–5 business days. Expedited options are available at checkout.
Q: Can I track my order?
A: Absolutely. Once your order ships, you’ll receive a tracking link by email so you can follow your package every step of the way.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: We accept returns within 30 days of purchase for unused items in their original packaging. Certain items (like line and custom rods) may be excluded. Returns over $150 will have a 5% restocking fee.

Q: Can I exchange for a different size or color?
A: Yes, exchanges are available as long as the item is in new condition. Click here to start the process.
Q: Do you sell fly fishing, surfcasting, and offshore gear?
A: Yes. We carry a full range of tackle for fly fishing, surfcasting, inshore, offshore, and bottom fishing. If it swims in the salt, we have the gear to catch it.
Q: Do you carry bait?
A: Yes, we stock a variety of live and frozen baits. Local anglers can even pull their boat right up to our parking lot to grab tackle and bait before hitting the water.
Q: How do I know if a product is in stock?
A: Product pages are updated in real-time. If you can add it to your cart, it’s in stock.
Q: What makes The Saltwater Edge different from other tackle shops?
A: We’ve been serving anglers for over 30 years and combine expert knowledge with a commitment to healthy, sustainable fisheries. Our staff are anglers first, we fish the gear we sell.
Q: Do you support fishing conservation?
A: Yes. We partner with the American Saltwater Guides Association (ASGA) and actively support policies that protect striped bass, false albacore, and other key species. We also fight to ensure anglers not only have fish to catch, but access to the fishery.
Q: Do you offer local fishing advice?
A: Absolutely. Our team shares daily insights on striped bass runs, false albacore blitzes, black sea bass, tautog, and more through our blog, podcast, and YouTube channel.
Q: What are your store hours?
A: Our retail store in Middletown, RI is typically open Monday–Sunday. Check Google or our website for current hours.
Q: Can I park my boat at The Saltwater Edge?
A: Yes! Anglers are welcome to park their boat trailer in our lot while shopping for gear, tackle, and bait.
Q: Do you offer gift cards?
