Yo-Zuri A1604 Aurie-Q RS Squid Jig

Color: Luminous Pink - A1604SLPE

Yo-Zuri A1604 Aurie-Q RS Squid Jig

Cloth-covered body. Squid grip and hold. Premium step up from budget jigs.

The Yo-Zuri Aurie-Q RS is a premium Japanese-style squid jig built with a cloth finish that gives squid something tactile to grab onto — and gives the jig the durability to survive repeated catches without falling apart. At 1/8 oz and 2", these are sized for the small jig section of a squid sabiki rig, fished above a weight to control depth.

Key Features

  • Cloth-covered body provides realistic texture squid grip and hold
  • Cloth also adds durability — squid jigs get destroyed fast, this one lasts
  • Multiple proven colors covering low-light and clear-water conditions
  • Designed to fish sabiki-style with a terminal weight
  • Premium quality construction from one of Japan's most respected lure makers

Specs

Rigging Sabiki-style above a terminal weight

Rigging & Use

  • Tie above a terminal weight (2-4 oz typical) on a 12-18" dropper
  • Stack 3-4 jigs at intervals up the leader for the standard squid sabiki setup
  • Drop straight under dock lights at night for the spring or fall squid runs
  • Slow lift-and-drop cadence; squid grab on the pause
  • Mix colors — Luminous White and Pink in clear water, Red Head and Green in stained or deep

Why We Like It

The cloth finish is what sets the Aurie-Q apart from cheaper squid jigs. Squid will inspect a bare plastic body and reject it; they hold on to cloth. Add the durability advantage — these last through a long squid trip vs. one or two outings for cheap jigs — and this is the smart choice when you fish for squid regularly.
