Chris Kokorda - Northeast Flats Flies 1/11/25

For the past 19 years, Chris Kokorda has been a shore guide, casting instructor, and fly tyer on Cape Cod.  Growing up, Chris honed his fly fishing skills by exploring the waters of Connecticut.  In 2006, his passion for fly fishing led him to Massachusetts where he managed the fly shop, Fishing the Cape.  There, he gained experience as a professional guide and casting instructor.  For the better part of the last decade, he has served as head instructor of the Cape Cod Saltwater Fly Fishing School.

When he is not guiding clients, Chris uses his years of experience as the vise to create incredibly effective patterns that work apply not only to the Cape, but to the entire Northeast striper fishing scene. He is a contract tier for the Montana Fly Company

All materials are provided. Basic tools (vice, bobbin, etc) and fly-tying skills required.

+3 Hour Class: Chris' Year-Round Favorites

Simple shrimp.  Light, small and accurately matches grass and sand shrimp of the northeast shallows.

Cape COD Sand Eel.  My version of the oversized crazy Charlie style sandeel fly.

Not a clouser and never fouls.
