Albie Snax are often the answer when you just can't seem to get the attention of false albacore with more "normal" options like Deadly Dicks or Epoxy Jigs. Soft plastic baits are often something they can't resist even on their pickiest days. Unfortunately most cast terribly.]
This killer lure isn't limited to albies either - it's deadly on many predatory species everywhere and all year round.
The inventor of Albie Snax wanted a soft bait designed to cast for distance while at the same time maintaining the darting motion that soft baits are known for. We also like the round design because each bait has more usable area than the flat sided Sluggo or Hogy.
They are five inches in length and weigh 1/2 an ounce. They are available in four colors: white, pink, amber and olive and come six to a package. Hand-poured in the USA.
Albie Snax hooks work perfectly with the Snax as do the Owner Twistlock Beast Hooks in size 4/0.
6 per pack

When Albies are especially finicky, the Albie Snax have come to the rescue. I love rigging them on the 1/2 ounce Fish Snax jighead - they maintain their action, but you can cast them a lot further. Try this combo; you won t be disappointed!
Albie love the soft white candy, so sweet
Don’t leave home without them. Not just for albies - bass love them too!
I recently purchased a package of Albie Snax (Amber color) and Albie Snax hooks and fished the river using this bait rigged with a quarter oz. jig with a 4/0 hook. I was my first experience using them and I had heard from some of my fishing buddies that they were productive for stripers in the river. I started out my last outing Friday of last week and set the Terrova on spot lock not far from the marina and boated 15 schoolies in the 16 'to 22' class in a hurry with the last hour or so of the outgoing tide. I liked the casting distance I got with it as well as the strength of the material composition of this bait. By the end of that trip catching schoolies and some 26" fish the first quarter inch of the bait had shown some where, so when I got home that night I removed the bait (which was glued) and trimmed off the quarter inch and re-rigged it with the same quarter oz. jig. No tears in the bait and no ripping where the hook rises through the body. I will definitely be buying more of this bait and try some of the other color offerings as well.
