Elephants eat peanuts. When theDaiwa SP Minnowarrived on the scene a few years ago striper fishermen everywhere were reminded of that fact. Don't let the weight fool you, thanks to the weight transfer system this little lure casts as though it were much heavier.

Must have lure! I’ve caught everything on these... Fluke, Sea Robbins, Stripers, Blues and even a massive Tarpon.... of course you have to change out the hardware but that’s nice bc it keeps the lure affordable!
As always the sp is the perfect striper lire.
The SP is a plug that seems to work in almost any setting, from back bays to open beaches. There are so many bait fish that it can imitate that it will produce just about any time of year. SWE has a great variety of patterns of SP.
Hooked up around some big bunker schools. Casts well. Great action. Appreciate SWE guidance on replacing hardware.
