Built utilizing Daiwa's Monocoque Body, the Daiwa Ballistic LT MQ Spinning Reels are a small and compact package that is feature-rich with the latest and greatest technology that Daiwa has to offer. Its Monocoque Body design allows for even larger gears to be added within the reel, giving greater power and longevity while having a minimal impact to the physical size of the reel over its prior Ballistic generation. The traditional side plate system is also removed from the equation with its Monocoque Body and is instead replaced with a 360-degree screw-in side plate that fits directly into the body of the reel. While this system also allows for more spacious room for internals, it also eliminates the traditional side plate screws that often will be common entry points for water, sand, and other debris.

The actual body of the Ballistic LT MQ is built with a new Zaion-V material that is extremely durable, corrosion-resistant, and rigid, perfectly suited to handle saltwater environments and take on serious inshore gamefish. A mag-sealed main shaft prevents all the internals from encountering water or debris causing issues from the salty environments this reel is designed for.
