TFO's Traveler Spinning Rods are incredible fishing tools ready for your next travel adventure. Many times carrying around longer one-piece rods, whether it be for traveling by air or even having a go-to rod to keep in the truck, isn't convenient for most. These multi-piece rods allow you to travel with fewer restrictions and make it quick and convenient for even the most minor excursion. Larry Dahlberg, known to many as one of the greatest traveling anglers of all time, ensured each rod was nothing but the best.
They're light and sensitive with premium cork grips, skeletal reel seats, rounded out with Fuji's Fazlite Corrosion Control K-Frame guides making both safe in both fresh and saltwater. A precision CNC sanding process fits each reinforced ferrule to fit 1/10,000 of an inch, providing for a snug and seamless finish.
All models are 7 feet long and break down into 3 pieces into an included airline friendly 32" hard nylon lined rod tube. Even a rod sock is included.

So far, a great rod. Travels fine on a plan and handles well. Paired this with a Penn Battle III dx and it has become my go to inshore spinning rod for everything from squid to albies. Peter Jenkins and his crew are extremely helpful with any questions/advice and both rod and reel arrived promptly.
Excellent value! I bought my son the TAC TRS 706-3 rod for inshore fishing down in Mexico. Delighted with the quality of its components and rod finish. Travels well. This 3-piece rod easily packed away with my fly rods/tube. Very versatile. It was used as a teaser rod, fished live bait and topwater lures. It feels stiff, but effortlessly launches 1 oz lures a mile. Its backbone/lifting power were tested while fighting and successfully landing some larger roosters, jack crevalle, skipjack tuna, triggerfish and numerous other inshore species. It’s a GREAT tool to have in your quiver … even if you are a fly fisherman.
light weight .. great casting .. everyone should have one. .. I was one of those people that thought only one piece were was the only way to go but this 3 piece TFO rod has changed my mind .
