Modern reels such as the Van Staal VR are stronger and lighter than ever before. A spare spool for your Van Staal VR can increase the versatility of your reel.
Spool up with a heavier or lighter line to easily and economically optimize your gear for whatever type of fishing you're doing.

I purchased this VR75 spool to convert my VR50 to a VR75 , it works great.
The Van Staal VR reels are great. Light weight and reasonably rugged a VR50 reel will support a VR75 spool. You’ll get about 300 yards of PP Slick 8 V2 20lbs test braid on the VR75 … 50 yards more than my original VR50. An affordable upgrade option from the good folks at SWE.
I needed to be able to swap from braided and mono and with this spool it increased my reels versatile , It was a princely sum that Van Staal asks but if you buy quality it is in it's self a value over time
Anything Van Staal is incredible. Having a backup spool ready to go at all times is great piece of mind to never miss a bite.
