The Hogy Charter Grade Squid is a great distance casting bait that perfectly imitates a squid. It is available in both floating and sinking models, ideal depending on the conditions you are fishing. The heavier sinker model works well for distance casting, but also if you are casting into the wind or want to hold deeper into the water column. The floating model is perfect for maintaining surface action, drawing in topwater strikes.

Casts like a rocket! Wonderful when the wind is coming right on shore.
cast very nice
got many fish with it, bass, and blues
What a cool lure! The Hogy Charter Grade Squid looks great - like a real squid - it casts really well - and in a twitch retrieve, if you pause it - the single hook on the back of the lure creates this really neat flutter that looks like a squid positioning itself in the water column. Fish can't resist that!
