This is a loaded Cotton Cordell Redfin Swimmer. We inject 10cc's of water and then seal the lure back up. We'll spare you the physics lesson of how much 10cc's weighs and keep the explanation simple, but basically this will vastly improve the castability of the lure and allow it to run slightly deeper on retrieve. Cotton Cordell Red Fin Swimmers have been responsible for landing many big Striped Bass for years, especially when loaded. These lures come with stock hooks. We recommend upgrading the belly hook to a 4/0 VMC9626PS treble hook, and a 3/0 9626PS for the tail. We also recommend replacing the split rings with Rasco Split Rings.
Occasionally we make a mistake while loading the red fins and some of the paint gets damaged. Save a few bucks by buying a blemished one! Loaded weight is the same as unblemished.
The lure weighs approximately 1-3/8oz when we're done with it.
