This rod is it, I have 3 of them. It is great for snapper and 30" groupper. Very sensitive to feel those bait stealing snapper and enough back bone for the red grouper. It is just a work horse, never had a problem with anything with them.
This rod is amazing, was skeptical at first since I had never owned a star rod. It was recommended by one of the gentlemen working that day and I'm glad he recommended it.
