Through thorough designing with the nation's top Southeastern anglers and charter captains, the Shimano Teramar XX SE Spinning Rods were built to take on the challenges of the inshore fishery they see every day. These rods were designed to use plugs, soft plastics, and bait for the diverse fishery in the Southeast, from the smallest seatrout to the biggest tarpon. Shimano implemented their latest rod technologies into this rod, known as Spiral-X & Hi-Power X, giving these rods the total strength and backbone to put serious power to the fish, while retaining its lightweight characteristics.
Spiral-X is a carbon tape tightly wrapped at an angle from the butt of the rod to the tip, which is done in two layers in opposite directions. This provides for torsional rigidity under load without adding weight to the blank itself.
Hi-Power X is the rod's outmost layer being wrapped with carbon tape in an "X" pattern from the butt to the tip of the rod. Hi-Power X works in combination with Spiral-X to further tighten the carbon tape and ultimately prevents the "ovalization" of the rod. In short, Spiral-X and Hi-Power X combined with one another gives the angler the sharpness and control not seen in many other rods.
For a rod specifically tuned for the Southeastern fishery, look no further than the Teramar XX SE spinning of rods. These rods feature both the latest and greatest rod tech from Shimano while also incorporating design and layout to take on the Southeastern favorites.

These rods are light and very sensitive. I can cast well with them too.
These guys are great! They shipped my rod perfectly something I’m not used too! The owner himself called to reassure me that they were taking care of my order. Shimano XX one the best Out there in its class! Thanks SWE
