The MagicTail Back Bay Tog Jigs are the little brother jigs to the standard MagicTail Tog Jigs. Designed for lighter inshore use, they come in lighter lead weights and lighter gauge hooks to compliment smaller crabs such as green crabs and asian crabs. You can also use them to deliver clams, squid, shrimp and other baits to the bottom. While the hook is smaller, they are certainly beefy enough to land the behemoths that can be inshore. They also work well for triggerfish, scup, and sheepshead.
Note: All MagicTail Tog Jigs are hand painted and can vary from pictures.

Nice tog jigs. I would prefer a smaller, less exposed hook on a "back bay" tog jig, but would still recommend them.
I’m a fan of these 3 pk back bay jigs. Smaller hooks but still strong enough to pull up keeper tog. Better for working lighter structure imo.
Went out fishing with 4 friends for Blackfish (Tautog) in the LI Sound on Sunday 10/24/21, I used the Magic Tail Back Bay Tog Jig 3/8 oz with Asian crabs My friends laughed and made fun at my little jig. They were using other bigger jigs 2oz to 4 oz in size, I decided to go with the 3/8 jig because I noticed there was no underwear current where we were anchored and a 3/8 jig would give me extra sensitivity on my rod using 20lb test braid with a 3' 40lb test leader attached to the jig. The outcome, I caught and released 28 13" to 18" togs with my little tog killer in 2 hours of fishing I kept only 1 a 22" 4lb beast. My friends? Lets just say they did okay, but not as good as I did. I found and took over the honey hole with my 3/8 Orange White Legger Magic Tail Back Bay Tog Jig no matter where I moved on the boat the honey hole followed. Go small for better results...Tight lines!
Decent price, especially the 3 pack. Strong, sharp hooks. Paint is ok. Didnt hold up as well as some of the other brands. Solid overall jig.
