Tsunami SaltX II Surf Rod

Size: TSSTXIISS771M

Tsunami SaltX II Surf Rod

30-ton HALO carbon. 70/30 split ferrule. Less blank diameter, more distance.

The Tsunami SaltX II Surf series is built for surfcasters who want distance, sensitivity, and the kind of blank durability that survives Northeast jetty abuse season after season. The 30-ton HALO Carbon Fiber blank with 100% nano-carbon scrim produces a slimmer, lighter blank than competitors at this price — you can feel the difference the first time you cast. The 70/30 tip-into-butt ferrule design gives 2-piece models near-one-piece feel without the travel hassle. Fuji Titanium K-Frame guides with Slim SiC rings keep braid running cleanly through long casts. Five models cover everything from 7'7" jetty work to 11' distance-casting beach work.

Why We Like It

Tsunami's blank tech keeps getting better, and the SaltX II Surf series is the result — 30-ton modulus, Titanium guides, and a 70/30 split that lets you actually travel with these rods without losing the one-piece feel. The 9'7" MH is the do-it-all Northeast surf rod we sell the most of — covers most Rhode Island and Massachusetts beach scenarios, casts 100+ yards with the right plug, and holds up to multiple seasons of jetty abuse. Real value at the price point.
