The VMC 8527PS Fish Fighter Treble Hooks (also known as "Gladiators" previously) is a forged, 6X strong treble hook for applications where the average 4x strong hook might not get the job done.
Perfect for lures that stripers and other strong gamefish can get leverage on a twist out more average hooks. As with all heavy-duty hooks be careful of the action on your lure to the heavier weight of a hook like this.
If you are considering these over the 4x, just got with these. Very durable and strong!
While these hooks are a bit "salty" as replacements, so far they have held up when I think a normal 4X would have bent open. Worth the price when you have a PB on the other end of the line!
These hooks are turning into my go to hooks to change out on stick plugs they offer more strength that my other hooks don’t have and the sharpness right out of the box is great and will stay sharpened longer
