Designed specifically for the growing popularity of "slow pitch" jigging, the Daiwa Harrier Slow Pitch Jigging Rods are specifically designed to work jigs with a slower, more deliberate action. These rods are incredibly fun to fish with, as they have a smaller/thinner blank profile, are incredibly lightweight but maintain loads of power.
Daiwa incorporated their HVF Nanoplus Carbon Technology to reinforce the blank through a micro-level arrangement of material in the plastic resin, which assists in the creation of a smaller, thinner, and lighter rod blank. Daiwa's X45 technology was also implemented which helps to eliminate blank twist, by using a left/right 45-degree carbon twist construction, keeping the rod from ovalizing. Fuji FazLite K-Guides and a unique EVA split grip finish the rod off, perfectly matching the needs for slow pitch jigging, as they leave a minimal footprint, giving the rod greater ability to flex.
For the angler targeting fish vertically from the seafloor and up, slow pitch jigging offers a great opportunity for anglers to put more fish in the boat with very light gear. The Harrier Slow Pitch rods are constructed from very lightweight materials and provide anglers stepping into the technique that is becoming increasingly popular with a quality rod at a more entry-level price.
