For hard polished finishes on flies and bucktails alike, hard as nails is my go to. It’s easy to apply thin or thick coats. Also, can do multiple coats to build a head/body. Pretty much goes on everything from gluing thread to a shank of stiffening a lip on experimental swimmer fly. Quick, easy, effective and leaves a nice glossy clear finish. It’s hard so it is brittle as expected so will crack under extreme rock banging just like any hard epoxy.
Easy to use, no mess, works good.
