I bought this belt twice. The first time the buckle broke, probably due to the low quality buckle. I ordered a buckle on amazon that fitted. Before I was able to find the right size buckle I bought another Aqua Skinz belt which I have been using, it has not failed yet and has been used in heavy surf conditions. The velcro is great because it has multiple sections to grip on to which means it will not fall off you under all circumstances. I would say this belt is great for a beginner getting into the surf and wading, also a decent belt for the budget. If you are on a budget this would be my choice.
This belt is a lot better than what comes with waders or a cheap surf bag. The buckle is a little flimsy but it's held up. Large adjustment range.
The Aquasknz belt is perfect Great quality strong Velcro
