The Beavertail Rod & Reel Custom Lanyards are a high quality lanyard to secure valuable gear and accessories to your surf belt, boat, kayak, or any other attachment point to keep valuables close by and secure. They are constructed with surgical tubing, delrin caps, and stainless steel hardware which all perform well in saltwater environments. The surgical tubing can stretch to almost double its length and it also doesn't entangle in fishing line like coil lanyards do.
Each lanyard is built by hand locally here in Rhode Island by Dave Morton of Beavertail Rod and Reel Repair. Note: Lengths are generally accurate but can vary as they are hand built

Great for holding down gear in yak
Overbuilt. These will take all the abuse and do exactly what they are meant to do.
I have only been out about 10 fishing days with this, but so far it's great. Seems extremely durable, and has the right amount of length and elasticity so that it's very manageable and unobtrusive when it's hanging off of my belt, but also stretches enough for my uses. I mostly fly fish in the salt for stripers etc., so I attach my nippers to it which I use quite often for tying flies and maintaining my leaders/tippet while I fish. This has been a game changer for me in that regard. Will be interesting to see how it holds up in the salt and over the course of a full season, but so far, so good, and my expectation is that it's going to hold up very well.
Used some retractables in the past. None are reliable. I needed Something where it would add buoyancy to me and give me the ability to drop my Boga when not in use. Works perfect
